Spotlight on Willow Grove Park
Willow Grove Park is a suburban Philadelphia icon, easily accessible from the PA Turnpike and Route 611 – delivering thousands of vehicles past the mall per day.
There are many major employers located within a few miles of Willow Grove, which reflects a stable and diverse economy. Employers like Jefferson Health, Holy Redeemer Hospital, Prudential Financial, and TEVA Pharmaceuticals contribute to a daytime population of over 1.5 million. Willow Grove is an affluent suburb and the surrounding communities are home to many of the area’s wealthiest households.
Willow Grove Park’s merchandising mix attracts sophisticated fashion-forward shoppers from Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs. At over 1.1 million square feet, the center offers a unique retail mix of traditional department stores, national retailers, entertainment options, and delicious dining. Willow Grove Park is home to high-end retailers like one of only two Bloomingdale’s stores in the region, Apple, and Lush Cosmetics and value options like Nordstrom Rack and Primark, which is one of three in the trade area.
As part of PREIT’s portfolio-wide anchor enhancement initiative, the former JCPenney was replaced by Yard House, a popular addition to the center’s dining options. Our restaurant offerings make the mall a dining destination with options like The Cheesecake Factory, TGI Friday’s, Chick-fil-A, and newly opened &pizza.
Coming in 2022 is Tilted 10, a multi-level entertainment facility featuring bowling lanes, laser tag, mini golf, bumper cars, over 200 games, and more. A function of PREIT’s broader repositioning strategy, PREIT looks forward to continuing to work with Abington Township to reset the mall’s future through continued transformation into a multi-use community through the potential addition of a proposed 365-unit apartment building and new green space, with an expected completion of early 2023.
